Monster’s Loft | Mission District, San Francisco

Monster’s Loft was the project that launched Tiny Monster Design in 2018. Kevin, along with his wife Katie, designed and built the space together, taking on every aspect of the remodel from design concept through construction.

The loft is defined by large south-facing windows and a modern palette of concrete floors, custom metalwork, and a black anthracite kitchen. Warm natural woods, hand block-printed curtains, and abundant greenery soften the raw materials.

The project became both a proving ground for their design vision and an urban retreat — laying the foundation for the studio’s future work (and, as the name suggests, the first home of their dog Monster).
